The course is not as academically demanding as course 5000N which contains University accredited modules.

      The four modules of the Diploma are as follows:


      The Certificate in Counselling module lays the foundation for progress to the more advanced modules. Study time is about 20 to 24 months.

      Materials supplied with this course
      The course syllabus is supplemented with suggested background reading and by a wide range of multi-media training materials supplied with each of the 4 modules. Further highly effective training aids include 3 audio and video CD-ROMs.

      The CDs demonstrate the practical application of counselling skills with clear examples of good practice.

      Linkages to other courses
      When considering this course the student may also wish to look at course Diploma In Clinical and Pastoral Counselling Skills (Course 5000N) which is built on four academically accredited modules on similar topics.

      Accredited or CPD
      This course is professionally accredited by the Counselling Society and has been awarded 100 points which helps lead to membership as a practitioner. A CPD certificate will be issued by the Institute in addition to the Diploma. Those who require academic accreditation may wish to consider our course 5000N.
